Naomi Milton Principal Psychotherapist
The approach I use means that I draw on a range of theories to support my work and my belief is that the relationship created between a client and their counsellor plays a significant part in the counselling process.
Bella Williams Psychodynamic Therapist
I offer both short-term therapy and long-term, open-ended therapy. I have experience working with depression, self-harm, abuse, eating disorders, bereavement, and much else.
Matthew Ekins Person-Centred Therapist
My particular interests centre around the nature and importance of the working relationship between client and counsellor, as well as counselling and psychotherapy research in general.
Are you experiencing:
- General anxiety?
- Feelings of panic?
- Facing change or transition?
- Relationship issues?
- Just feel overwhelmed or that something is wrong?
Therapy and Counselling can help reduce the impact of what you are experiencing and help provide context to how you are feeling. We can’t change the past, but therapy with an experienced professional can help you understand what is holding you back from experiencing a fulfilling and meaningful life.
At Hear & Now Therapy our aim is to work in a way that will support you in addressing difficult or painful issues from your past and present. Together we can work to provide a basis on which to explore new, different ways of living your life and being in relationships.
Our Core Values
Unconditional Positive Regard
Where parents, significant others and the therapist accepts and loves the person for what he or she is. Positive regard is not withdrawn if the person does something wrong or makes a mistake.
The ability to share someone else's feelings or experiences by imagining what it would be like to be in their situation.
From the Latin 'I meet together, I agree'. The closer our self-image and ideal-self are to each other, the more consistent or congruent we are and the higher our sense of self-worth.
Counselling & Therapy to support your work and personal lives
Naomi founded Hear & Now Therapy in 2010 with the aim of bringing focused mental health services including Counselling and Psychotherapy to the people who live and work around the City of London. We understand the challenges of managing both your work and personal lives and aim to offer the most professional service to you.
Our London-based counselling and therapy team of Naomi Milton, Matthew Ekins & Bella Williams can provide the support you need in both your personal and professional lives. We can help you find your purpose, achieve your goals, or to gain an understanding of how best to manage any challenges you might face.
Research has shown the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client, and in particular the therapist’s ability to empathise, is what helps therapy make a difference.
Therapy is first and foremost an opportunity to talk to someone who will treat you with positive regard and not judge you. You have the space to talk as much or as a little as you wish and the therapist will guide you and be beside you all the way.
All of our therapists have particular expertise in dealing with depression, anxiety and relationship issues.
