Welcome to Hear & Now Therapy

Group therapy provides an opportunity for people to meet on a regular basis in a unique environment. We all function as members of groups in our daily lives, whether in families, workplaces or social situations. However, living or working in the City often feels isolating and group therapy offers a supportive space in which experiences can be shared and problems worked through. Working in groups can be just as effective as one-to-one therapy.

Unconditional Positive Regard

Where parents, significant others and the therapist accepts and loves the person for what he or she is. Positive regard is not withdrawn if the person does something wrong or makes a mistake.

Empathy

The ability to share someone else's feelings or experiences by imagining what it would be like to be in their situation.

Congruence

From the Latin 'I meet together, I agree'. The closer our self-image and ideal-self are to each other, the more consistent or congruent we are and the higher our sense of self-worth.
